Auto-ID Laboratories
View all documents by Auto-ID LaboratoriesCompany Overview
The federation of six Auto-ID Laboratories around the world, including Auto-ID Laboratory at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), are working to create a global system for tracking goods using a single numbering system called the electronic product code (EPC). The Auto-ID Labs is partnered with EPCGlobal Inc., the standards organization responsible for developing the products, systems and standards necessary to drive this vision. The Auto-ID Lab at MIT and the RFID Academic Convocation online community includes faculty, students, researchers, professionals in industry and citizens with an interest in radio frequency identification (RFID). Together, they provide high-quality RFID content and education online and through seminars, and create specific forums for industry areas that need cross-disciplinary collaboration.
