Elan Software Systems Inc. develops and provides customized manufacturing execution systems (MES) for regulated industries. Elan Software uses its XFP MES suite of software to computerize companies’ manufacturing expertise and operational practices. Working hand in hand with the company, Elan can integrate all or part of XFP MES across the entire production cycle—from warehousing to batch release—in compliance with 21 CFR Part 11.
XFP technology is estimated to cut quality assurance review time by more than 75 percent. The XFP Suite consists of three components: XFP-EBR for managing electronic batch records; XFP-Weighing/Dispensing for weighing operations; and XFP-Warehousing for full control from warehouse to dispatch. XFP-EBR creates, approves, manages and distributes all requirements and work instructions for each process to the operators; and then collects, verifies, consolidates and retains batch and/or process data. Elan’s XFP-Weighing/Dispensing module ensures accurate and consistent dispensing of all excipient and active ingredients within a secure environment, with full audit traceability. XFP-Warehousing manages and optimizes warehouse and shop-floor locations, labeling, raw materials and package item de-stocking, and sampling.
