The "minispec" or miniature spectrometer is designed for quality and process control on the factory floor. According to this white paper, the minispec does not require cryogens or large space, and the permanent magnet and bench-top footprint make it an ideal at-line quality control tool that can be automated for increased sample through-put, or be installed on-line.
