The BioMark 48.48 Dynamic Array
by Fluidigm Corp.
The BioMark 48.48 Dynamic Array - Genotyping delivers a new level of efficiency for the study of genetic variation within large populations. Each run generates 2,304 genotypes—six-fold more data than is produced by a 384-well plate. This advance in experiment density is fully leveraged through a hardware/software system that automates setup and data analysis.
The IFC is seated in an input frame having inlets for 48 samples and 48 primer-probe sets. The scientist transfers fluids to the inlets and then places the dynamic array on the NanoFlex 4-IFC Controller. The controller pressure-loads the fluids and actuates valves so that samples and primer-probe sets mix within the reaction chambers. After thermal cycling, the array is placed on the BioMark Real-Time PCR System for end-point fluorescence detection. The scientist uses BioMark Genotyping Analysis Software to examine, annotate, and archive the data.
