Optimization of the purification of mono-PEG40 avidin

In this application note, GE Healthcare Bio-Sciences, formerly Amersham Biosciences, describes the purification of mono-PEG40 avidin (mono-poly[ethylene] glycol 40000 avidin) using MacroCap SP cation exchange medium. Results show MacroCap SP is well suited for separating large proteins and that high loads can be combined with retained resolution.
